SnapDragon Photography Classes~ Be Magical Behind the Lens!

How many times have you had the perfect scenery for photo, yet your subjects faces were too black, skin was red and harsh, out of focus, too bright, etc? I would imagine out of 100 photographs of your children, friends, or family, you would have a hardly a few that you could make work as a piece of art or even a Christmas card. Learn how to make each photo count! Mandi will help you understand the function of your camera, know what all those symbols mean, learn to use natural lighting and not a harsh flash. With all the amazing cameras and gadgets out there today, your window to amazing portraits is just a little “know-how”away. Join us August 29th from 3-6pm for our first class as we discover the power between our eyes and our cameras! Classes are $85 per person with a maximum of 10 people per class. We will chat about our equipment first then move on to hands-on shooting, and later critiquing our pics to learn. Wear clothes that you don’t mind moving around in, squatting, or even laying down on the ground in- wherever your creativity takes you! Learn from your classmates work and develop a circle of fellow hobbyist . You will be amazed how talented you are with the right knowledge!

Eventus is gearing up the class list and Yoga is the first on the schedule! With instructor Susan Malyon, you are sure to get a true, peaceful experience. With over 15 years of experience, Susan practices various types of Yoga. She received her training at Kashi Ashram in Atlanta under her beloved teacher, Swami Jaya Devi Bhagavati, and is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) at the 200 hour level with the National Yoga Alliance. Susan’s classes are classical Yoga which some call Hatha Yoga. She also brings Vinyasa Flow into the practice which translates as “connecting movement with breath”. Offering classes from her home and in studios, Susan works with groups and individuals to include more Yoga postures, pranayama (breathing control) and meditation. For Susan, Yoga is a practice, not a religion, non-competitive, and non-judgemental… an important concept to realize. Join us for classes! Classes will be offered on Tuesdays and Fridays at 8am and last about an hour. Bring a mat and wear comfy clothes!

Ladies Open House Featuring Stella & Dot

Here in the South, there isn’t much better than a room full of ladies sippin’ Cosmopolitans… Add in some of the years most trend-poppin jewelry, and every lady in the house had a smile on their lips! Ida Stone-Harris with Stella & Dot was our guest for our Ladies Open House… and let me tell you, the “oooo’s” and “aaahhhh’s” set the fashion and trend in the room. Ida became a stylist for Stella & Dot in October of 2009 with one goal in mind: “to make women stylish”. Let’s just say that goal has been accomplished. Ida accessorized some of the leading ladies from Conyers and Covington Wednesday night as we had our first official Grand Opening extravaganza! All the ladies in attendance made our night (and week… and month for that matter!)- the support of our friends means the world to us! And what better way to spread the word of a great business – WORD OF MOUTH! We thank all of our beautiful (and newly accessorized) ladies for attending our open house.
